ATM Service started in Kedarnath Dham

6 years after the Kedarnath disaster, ATM service started again in Kedarnath Dham. HDFC Bank has installed an ATM machine at Kedarnath. Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated it and hence commenced the working of the machine formally. Because of this ATM machine installation in Kedarnath the pilgrims coming in from abroad will be benefitted.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has described the setting up of ATM by HDFC Bank in Kedarnath in the interest of pilgrims. Inaugurating the ATM being set up by HDFC Bank in Kedarnath at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday, he has also described it as the new beginning of banking sector for Kedarnath.

Explain that before the divine disaster in Kedarnath in 2013, there used to be a temporary branch of the State Bank. Which was operated in Kedarnath for six months, the pilgrims coming here used to get its benefit. In the Kedarnath disaster in 2013, more than 45 lakh funds of the bank along with the bank’s branch were washed away.

The Chief Minister said that after the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time after the reconstruction of Kedarnath, about 08 lakh pilgrims have visited there so far. Kedarnath has now become a center of faith for the devotees of the country and the world in a new form. Providing banking facilities to the devotees visiting here is a commendable initiative of HDFC. Managing Director of HDFC Bank, Dr. Aditya Puri CFO Shashidhar Jagadeeshan etc. was present on the occasion.
