Local People Will Now Be Able To Open Up Shops from Base Camp to Kedarnath

For a successful Kedarnath Yatra of 2021 the DM of Rudraprayag went on to meet with the local traders, taxi union and even labourers of Kedar Ghati to ask for their help. At the same time an appeal has also been made to behave well with the pilgrims on their holy pilgrimage. At this time, from base camp to Kedarnath the locals have been given permission to open their shops.
In a meeting that took place in Guptkashi, DM Mangesh Ghildiyal said that for the passengers to receive adequate facilities on their journey, all the authorities, employees and officers present enroute the walkway path will be provided with residential facilities. The local people will be provided with permissions to open up shops from the base camp to the main temple of Kedarnath. The shops will be set up after the acceptance of the survey report by the geological scientists. The route from Rambara to Kedarnath has been extended by the executive body to five – seven metres so that the pilgrims and the ponies don’t face any sort of an inconvenience. Along with the pathway of Kedarnath this year signage and boards will be installed in different places on the walkway paths at Tungnath and Madhyamaheshwar Yatra routes as well so that the pilgrims are informed about the distance and route information. NH EE has been directed for the sprinkling of water three times a day and to improve its disintegrating condition in Banswara, Khat, Somi and Doliya Devi route. By 30th April all the arrangements for the sanitation and water availability will have been made in all the Zila Panchayat as well as all the hotels and lodges have been instructed to schedule camps from time to time. During this occasion block head of Ukhimath Santlall, deputy managing director Shekhar Jha, chief medical officer Dr. S.K. Jha, EE NH Jk Tripathi were present.
