Upon your arrival at the country’s capital, Delhi you’ll be greeted

representative at the New Delhi railway station/airport who then
drives you to
the holy city of Haridwar, commonly referred to as ‘gateway to God’s
abode’. On
reaching check into the hotel and later towards the evening visit
the crowded and
auspicious ‘Har-ki-Pauri’ Ghat to visualize the enchanting Ganga
Aarti. Back to
hotel for dinner and night stay.
Next morning post breakfast, we leave for Pipalkoti, a picturesque
small Himalayan hamlet nestled at an altitude of 1260mts above the
sea level. The town of Pipalkoti serves as a relaxing stop-over for
pilgrims and tourists on their way to locations like Hemkund Sahib
and Valley of Flowers. On reaching Pipalkoti check into the hotel
for dinner and night stay
Next day early morning, we hit the road for Govindghat from where we
trek towards Ghangaria covering a distance of 14kms. Govindghat is a
scenic hamlet standing at the meeting points of two rivers; the
gushing Laxman Ganga and the sublime Alaknanda. From Govindghat we
embark on our trek towards Ghangaria. This is indeed a memorable
trek route as it takes you through many pine groves, offering at the
same time, magnificent views of the Himalayas. All through your
trek, the River Laxman Ganga accompanies you. Towards late
afternoon, we reach Ghangaria. Ghangaria marks the last of all human
habitats in the vale. We put up at Ghangaria hotel/lodge for dinner
and night stay.
Next day early morning we set out for our trek towards Hemkund Sahib.
Hemkund is a well known high altitude Himalayan lake. It is
considered to be a sacred lake for the followers of Hinduism as well
as Sikhism. The crystal clear lake waters beautifully mirror the
surrounding mountainous vistas. Along the lakeside stands Gurudwara
Hemkund Sahib and small temple belonging to Lakshmana, brother of
Lord Rama. Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru is said to have
acquired his spiritual nirvana at the site of Hemkund Sahib during
his past life. Also, Lakshmana is said to have undertaken austere
penance sitting on the banks of Hemkund Lake. Post Darshan at
Hemkund Sahib we trek our way back to Ghangaria and check into the
hotel for dinner and night stay.
Next day early morning we set out on our Valley of Flowers trek. The
first half of this trek makes you walk a trail passing through dense
woods and River Pushpawati happens to be your companion on the way.
The second half of this trek makes you pass through meadows until
you reach the enchanting Valley of Flowers. Valley of Flowers
presents you with scores of vibrantly colored Alpine flowers that
are too rare to be visualized elsewhere on earth. The riot of colors
that these full bloomed flowers create is indeed worth capturing in
camera. Post Valley of Flower visit, we trek our way back to
Ghangaria and retire to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Next morning we trek back to Govindghat and then proceed towards
Pipalkoti by cab. En route we visit Joshimath where we make a
Darshan of Narasimha Temple and Shankaracharya Temple. After
Joshimath sightseeing, we head for Pipalkoti straight away. On
reaching we check into the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Next morning we retrace our way back to Haridwar. En route we visit
Devprayag and Rishikesh. At Devprayag River Bhagirathi joins River
Alaknanda to form the stream of holy Ganges. At Rishikesh, also
often referred to as the country’s ‘Yoga Capital’, we visit several
ashrams and places like Ram jhula, Laxman Jhula, Geeta Bhavan etc.
Post Rishikesh sightseeing we head straight for Haridwar. On
reaching we check into the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Next morning we drive back to Delhi and on reaching you are
transferred to New Delhi railway station/airport where our
representative sees you off and you proceed for your onward journey
back home, taking back with you some lifetime memories of the tour.
