Saraswati Pushkarlu is starting on this year as planet Jupiter (Brihaspati) will move from zodiac shine Capricorn (Makar) to Gemini (Mithun). According to hindu looner calendar Pushkar Varshm period of one year is an astronomical incident. Since planet Jupiter (Guru Brihaspati) enters into any star sign (Zodiac) for one year then this time is known as Pushkar Varsh.

Since Gemini is star sign of River Saraswati hence this is the Pushkar varsh for river Saraswati and devotee celebrate it as Saraswati Puskar. According Purana during the Pushkarlu Guru Brahshpati enhance significance and holiness of river. Taking bath and offering homage to river Saraswati help to attain the salvation and wash away all sins not only themselves but also their ancestors. Performing bathing, rituals, Shradh, Pind Daan for ancestors is popular among the devotees.

Tour Itinerary

Welcome to Haridwar, you are greeted and assisted on arrival at Haridwar Airport /Railway station by our representative and drive to Pipalkoti via Rishikesh & Devprayag. En-route visit Raghunath temple one of ‘108 Divya Desam Kshetra’ at Devprayag and see the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi. Here onwards downstream river is called Ganges. Evening arrival and check-in to hotel for night stay at Pipalkoti.

Morning drive to Badrinath (Mana). On arrival Mana village have a holy dip in river holy river Saraswati (icy cold water). Perform Pooja and Hindu rites, Pinddam Shraddh for ancestors (Pitrus), at the bank of river Saraswati on auspicious occasion of Saraswati Pushkar.

Visit Mana Village (India’s last village towards Indo-Tibetan border), which includes Vyasa Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhimpul, etc. Thereafter return to Badrinath for night stay on arrival check-in hotel. Later visit Badrinath Temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddam Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), one can perform rite here.

Tickets can be collected form counter of temple committee to join Maha Abhishek and Abhishek of Badrinath ji. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Early morning visit temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Proceed through colorful entrance of the temple have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar & Narayan. Also see another small temples inside the temple compound i.e. Laxmi mata, Nar-Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarn and Kaamdhenu. One can get ‘Charnamirt’(abhishekam jal) in side compound. Thereafter board to vehicle and drive to Rudraprayag. Evening arrival Rudraprayag check-in to hotel for night stay.

Morning drive back to Rishikesh. On arrival at Rishikesh visit Shivanand Ashram, Ram jhoola, Laxman Jhoola, Gita Bhavan, Pramarth Niketan, later drive to Haridwar. Here tour ends with happy memories as you dropped to the Haridwar Railway station / Airport for journey to onward destination.
