Laxmi Prasad

Laxmi Prasad is the Founder & Chief Yatra Director of ChardhamTour.in and has spent much of his professional life working closely with pilgrims travelling through Uttarakhand.

Growing up in the region and seeing the challenges faced by travellers during the Char Dham Yatra gave him an early understanding of what pilgrims actually need on the ground — reliable route information, realistic travel planning, local assistance and clear guidance when weather or road conditions change unexpectedly.

After more than a decade of working in Uttarakhand travel and completing the Char Dham circuit multiple times himself, he founded ChardhamTour.in in 2010 with a focus on making pilgrimage journeys better organised, more practical and more dependable for travellers.

Laxmi Prasad has personally completed the Char Dham Yatra 22 times and continues to stay closely connected with the routes, pilgrimage centres and traveller experience. His knowledge covers Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, along with road journeys, local transport, temple travel planning, senior-citizen requirements and seasonal travel conditions.

His articles and travel guidance are shaped by first-hand experience rather than destination information alone. The focus is on helping pilgrims understand what a journey is really like, what they should prepare for and which details can make a practical difference during the Yatra.

He also remains involved in itinerary planning and operational review, particularly for travellers who need additional support, including families and senior citizens.
