The Opening Date Of Kedarnath will be declared on the 21st of February 2020, on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri but the devotees are to be informed that the Dham is still covered under thick sheets of snow. The region has still snow up to the height of 10 feet and at the same time, the temple is found half covered. Some of the most astonishing pictures of this temple have been surfaced.
Recently, the entire team of Rudraprayag administration moved to Kedarnath to collect some pictures of the recent situation. Similarly, the re-construction work of Kedarnath Dham, the dream project of our honorable Prime Minister is also delayed from the last 2 months. It has been witnessed that since the 12th of December 2019, the region is covered with snow of more than 10 feet and this has disrupted the renovation work of Kedarnath Temple.
In such a situation, the completion of the targeted works is pretty difficult to complete by the time the journey gets started. The concerned departments and the administration have to struggle a lot in arranging and raising the facilities to the devotees partaking this holy Yatra. Kedarnath still has 10 to 16 feet high snow which is causing the reconstruction work of Dham to a standstill.
Certainly in such a worse situation, the construction of the Astha Marg along the Saraswati river along the 30-meter span bridge to connect the Garud Chatti on the Mandakini River to the 60-meter span, the Bhairavnath temple on the Saraswati river, will be difficult to complete till the opening date of the Kapat this year.
Also, the dream project of PM Modi that includes constructing a cemetery of Adi Shankaracharya is getting affected badly. It will also be very difficult for the devotees as well as the officers and the workers to arrange the basic facilities too. This heavy snowfall has not only affected the route to this Dham but also the assets of the region on a vast aspect.
