Online reservations for Char Dham Yatra of this year, covering the holy sites of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, began today, April 15, on the Uttarakhand Tourism official website. To aid pilgrims, a toll-free line and WhatsApp registration are also available.
The portals to Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri will open on May 10.

Registering helps manage the flow of pilgrims, ensuring safety and well-being in challenging terrains and weather. It also aids in logistical planning and provides a means of contact in emergencies.
How to Register?
Visit the website of Department of Tourism at https://www.registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in.
Alternatively, send "Yatra" to 8394833833 via WhatsApp, or call the toll-free number 0135-1364.
Requirements for Registration:
You may need to provide personal details, travel plans, and medical information.
Offline Registration:
Offline registration is available at counters in Rishikesh and Haridwar, requiring identification such as a voter ID, passport, PAN card, or Aadhar card.
Steps to Register Online:
- Visit www.uk.gov.in/registrationandtouristcare.
- Click Register/Login.
- Complete the form as prompted by the pop-up window.
- An OTP sent to your email or phone will verify your identity.
- Post-verification, log in with your phone number and password.
- On your dashboard, select "Add/Manage Pilgrims or Tourists."
- Input all required tour details.
- Upload scanned ID proofs like driver license or Aadhar card.
- Upon successful registration, you will receive a URN via SMS and can download the registration letter needed for the pilgrimage.
