The booking for Kedarnath Heli service during the Chardham Yatra for May, June, September, and October is already complete. However, the IRCTC website will open on May 6 for booking available seats that have become vacant due to ticket cancellations in May and June.
The IRCTC portal will open this Monday for pilgrims to book seats for the Kedarnath Heli service that were vacated by canceled tickets. This gives those planning to visit Kedarnath by helicopter a new opportunity to secure heliyatra tickets.
C. Ravi Shankar, CEO and Additional Secretary of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA), mentioned that while the initial booking for the Kedarnath Heli service for May, June, September, and October is full, many pilgrims end up changing their travel plans, leading to ticket cancellations. As a result, new bookings will be accepted on May 6 for the freed-up seats in May and June, offering another chance for pilgrims to obtain helicopter tickets.
He added that ticket bookings for the months of July and August have not yet begun, and the start date for these bookings will be determined later. During July and August, helicopter service operation decreases due to the rainy season, with only one or two companies maintaining operations during these months.
