Rishikesh: Transit Camp for Char Dham pilgrims to be ready with a budget of 10 Crores

Chardham TripFor those who are going to cover Char Dham Yatra must be informed that there is a construction work of registration camp near Chandrabhaga is on its full swing. There is an estimated cost of 10 crores asked for the construction of these transit camps and this budget has been decided after considering the requirement of basic amenities of tourists. As per the statement of the working organization, this construction work will be completed by the year 2021.

Let’s get informed that in the year 2013, thousands of pilgrims were injured and hit by the deluge of Kedarnath tragedy. Later this, the government started working on the Transit Hostel Scheme to make the journey smooth and safe and the tourism department had prepared a blueprint for this transit camp plan. But the plan couldn’t reach its level because of the non-availability of land and then in the year 2019, the tourism department transferred this plan to the forest land (almost 3.70 hectares of the forested areas) near Gopalnagar and Chandrabhaga.

After almost a year, the executive Organization Bidkul had started working here a few days ago. At present, excavation work for the construction of almost 45 meters long and wide building has been completed. Rahul, the Junior Engineer of Bidakul stated that the construction work of the transit camp has been started on the instructions of the tourism department. It is believed that if there will be no weather disruption then this construction work will be completed by July 2021.
