68 Tourists Registered Online for the Chardham Yatra

The technology of Photometric identification and registration has been employed to make the pilgrimage visit of tourists and pilgrims easier. The tourists and pilgrims who are going to Chardham will all be required to register and so far 68 registrations have been made online.

The chief of Char Dham Tourism Mr. Shailesh Bagauli said that Messrs Trilok Security System has started putting up registration centers in 11 important places like railway stations Haridwar, Hemkund Sahib, Rishikesh, Gurudwara Rishikesh, Janki Chatti, Gangotri, Phata, Guptakashi, Govindghat, Sonprayag, Kedarnath, Pandukeshwar and Govindghat.

In order to increase the registration volume; 3 new places like Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Parking Haridwar, Uttarkashi Hina, Dobata are the next targets for registration centre set up. The registration centre status in Haridwar is already functional while the centres in Dobata and Hina are yet to be set up.

Mr. Shailesh Bagauli announced that for domestic and international tourists, the Chardham online registration facility is made available for just RS 50. Till now 68 online registrations have been made and much greater numbers are expected in the days to come.
