Daily Bus Service to Kedarnath from Haridwar by GMOU & Himgiri

Lakhs of pilgrims who make their way to Chardham in Uttarakhand generally utilize the bus services from various parts of the state. This is one of the most convenient ways of traveling to Chardham since every, the government is working hard in providing strong and durable connectivity.

Bus Service for Kedarnath in Haridwar

The Garhwal motor operations union or GMOU along with Himgiri bus services has started a direct bus service to Kedarnath starting from Haridwar. This bus is available for every Chardham Yatra pilgrims who will be able to board it and travel directly to Gaurikund from Haridwar since that is the last motorable road to Kedarnath. This Haridwar – Gaurikund bus service had resumed after the devastating floods of 2013 that had destroyed all the existing routes to Kedarnath. These two bus operators will be responsible for running two separate buses for Haridwar – kedarnath (Gaurikund) at separate timings.

Haridwar Kedarnath (Gaurikund) Daily Bus Service:

This everyday service between Haridwar – Gaurikund will leave at a scheduled time as given below:

For GMOU Bus Service
Departure Time – 5:15 am	Reach Gaurikund – 12 noon

 

For Himgiri Bus Service
Departure time – 7:10 am	Reach Gaurikund – 12 noon

The overall road distance between Haridwar and Gaurikund is 231 kms. Ever since the past few years due to some unfortunate natural calamity no buses were available for Gaurikund from Haridwar. However, now the pilgrims can easily opt for bus services from Haridwar to Gaurikund while trekking your remaining 16 kms to Kedarnath temple.

NOTE:

• This Gaurikund bus service is only available for Chardham seasons i.e. from April to October.
• The bus service from Sonprayag to Ukhimath is available throughout the year.
• Other bus services are available for Gaurikund to Rudraprayag which starts every day at 8:30 am in the morning.
