Later, in 1990, on May 3rd, a group of instructors from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering succeeded in climbing the peak. The southern summit of the mountain was attempted unsuccessfully in 1990, but on June 3rd, 1993, a group from Sweden succeeded in reaching the summit. Also called the &#8220;Way to Heaven,&#8221; Swargarohini is steeped in legends, one of the most interesting being the story of the Pandavas. According to this legend, the mighty Pandavas were on their way to heaven. However, only one Pandava, Yudhishthira, succeeded in reaching heaven, accompanied by a dog. The name of this place is derived from this legend and other fascinating tales.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Location\"><\/span><strong>Location<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Swargarohini lies at an elevation of approximately 6,252 meters above sea level and is about 35 km from Mana Village and 38 kilometers from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chardhamtour.in\/badrinath-temples.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Badrinath temple<\/a>. Therefore, the months from May to October are considered the best time to plan your trip.
