Lord Hanuman is said to have lived in this area disguised as an old monkey. When Bhima, the powerful Pandava warrior, came through this route and found an old monkey&#8217;s tail blocking his path, he ordered it to move. The monkey refused.<\/p>\n<p>After several failed attempts to physically lift the tail, Bhima realised no ordinary creature could withstand his strength. He folded his hands and asked the monkey to reveal its identity. Lord Hanuman showed himself, and Bhima bowed in reverence. From that day, this place has been called Hanuman Chatti \u2014 the spiritual abode of Lord Hanuman in these mountains.<\/p>\n<p>A century-old Hanuman temple still stands here, showing the idol of Lord Hanuman holding the Sanjeevani mountain.
