The weather department issues heavy rain alerts in Uttarakhand

The weather department has issued heavy rain alerts in Uttarakhand. The EMT department said that torrential rains were expected to happen in the next 48 hours in Haridwar, Nainital, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and surrounding areas.

This is why pilgrims and travellers to the above mentioned places and on the Char Dham circuit have been advised to be aware. The last few days have seen quite massive rains and there are predictions of landslides too. In fact loose rolling stones have fallen down from the hills recently and blocked quite a few roads in the Char Dham Zone.
