Blue Poppy Resort

The Himalayan Abode

This too is located in Joshimath on Badrinath Highway. It has budget rooms and deluxe rooms in three categories. What makes this resort special is large glass windows that let you enjoy a lovely view.

Hotel Manik Resort

Located on the Auli-Joshimath Road, this is a mid-range hotel with dormitory and deluxe rooms to suit various types of tourists. The atmosphere is more homely than hotel like and you will like the personalized attention guests receive.

Hotel Mount View

Large windows in Hotel Mount View open right into the face of the Himalayas. That is how close it looks. There are five different types of rooms in this hotel. One can choose from suite, super deluxe, deluxe, family and economy rooms. Regardless each room has a beautiful view of the mountains. Climb up a flight of stairs and you are in the rooftop restaurant where you can sample sizzling snacks in the cool crisp air. Rooms have the usual amenities like attached bath and hot and cold water as well as TV. An added bonus is that you can book a ride in a helicopter for char dham darshan or call a cab.

Hotel Auli D

Located close to the petrol pump in Joshimath, Hotel Auli D offers well-furnished rooms with attached bath and hot water. On the pricier side, however, its redeeming quality is the priceless food one can sample in the restaurant. It is centrally located and quite secure for families.

The Sleeping Beauty

The rooms in The Sleeping Beauty are just marvelous with carpets, lovely colorful curtains, large windows and cozy furnishing. Each room has an attached bath and hot water as well as TV. Located in Joshimath, this is a pricey hotel but you get what you pay for.

Cliff Top Hotel

Cliff Top is located right in the Auli Skiing village. If skiing is what you want to do then book into this resort that is shadowed by the Nanda Devi and the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. There is a trainer on the premises who gives novices basic instructions in skiing and, if you are so minded, you can go on a trek. Just keep in mind that at Rs 8000 per night, it is expensive.

The Tattva Resort

The Tattva is located near Auli Crossing in Joshimath. Rooms are well furnished and guests enjoy the facility of bottled water, air conditioning, TV, internet, heated blankets and room services such as breakfast and laundry.

Grand Kailash Hotel

Located on Badrinath Road, the Grand Kailash Hotel offers budget accommodation starting at Rs 300 for dormitory and higher up for three bedded, two bedded, four bedded and deluxe double bed rooms. Rooms have TV, internet access, toiletries, attached bath and hot-cold water. There is a restaurant in the premises so you need not go searching for food.
